Walking Tennis isn’t only for those who are injured or whose tennis career is winding down.
Anyone who has popped into the Hive Leisure Centre on a Tuesday between 2-3pm knows that the reality is very different.
BUT… unless you try it out, it’s hard to understand that as well as offering tennis at a gentler pace, we also offer highly competitive games. Both of which are actually rather good fun!
We have set out to change how Walking Tennis is perceived, as well as giving our players a new challenge. Introducing our new mini league!
Great fun with @gstevensonsport for a couple of hours on Sat 6th July. In between talking about jam and scrambled eggs we did cover inclusive tennis in Ely!

It was a lovely evening at the Maltings - complete with posh frocks and delicious food –
The sun was out in Cambridge and Ely for Pride and it was great to meet and connect with so many people – and introduce them to tennis.
Diversity Tennis – supported by Ely Tennis Club Chair, Rachel, and gallant volunteer, Vicky – took to the water to fly the flag (quite literally!) for diversity and inclusion in tennis.
