Diversity Tennis

We currently run Walking Tennis and Wheely and Walking Tennis (concentrating on wheelchair tennis) which include a “tea & cakes” social session afterwards. We also work with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) children, who have many complex needs, in special and mainstream schools.

Tennis is infinitely adaptable, and we find a way for it to fit anyone who wants to give it a go.

We have adapted conventional tennis activities to suit the needs of individuals and have augmented this with research into the needs of minority groups, be that mental, physical, social, or fiscal.

Our outreach program sees us engaging with local community groups, such as Armed Forces Veterans, Social Prescription services, Cambridge and Ely Pride, Ely Food Bank, and many more… Please contact us if you'd like to talk about working together in some way.

The difference we make

We have had some tremendous feedback from our participants, see the Quotes, and we are honored to have received two awards for our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, The Cambs LTA Tennis for All Award 2024, and the Ely Sporting Heros Award 2023.

We have also been on several local radio shows and TV news features for BBC and ITV and had numerous mentions in the press.

Can you help?

We rely on donations to fund most of our activities. Without help from people and organizations in the community, we just wouldn’t be able to provide the equipment or environments our participants need. You can donate on our Donations page.
